| | Robert Gonzalez, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Speech and Theatre at the University of Tampa in Tampa, Florida, where he directs classic and contemporary plays, and teaches courses in voice and diction, oral performance of literature, and public speaking. Most recent plays directed at the University of Tampa include: The Seagull by Anton Chekhov, Six Characters in Search of an Author by Luigi Pirandello, Temptation by Vaclav Havel, and Hippolytus by Euripides. Dr. Gonzalez also directed his 90-minute adaptation of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Dr. Gonzalez is also an audiobook narrator and a practicing rhapsode, or performer of classic poetry.
