Angela Hill

Angela Hill has been dancing, acting, and directing for as along as she can remember. Trained in classical ballet, she has been teaching dance directing plays for well over 27 years-at public schools, her own studio and thru many community youth programs. She choregraphed her first musical at the age of 12, was resident choreographer for FMCT in Fargo, and has worked choreographing everything from fashion shows to swing choirs to high school musicals to local productions to world ranked martial arts forms. Her specialty being the ability to make non-dancers dance!

Angela began directing plays for small town schools in the early 90's. She took several years off to raise small busy childern and when they got bigger she found herself back directing at her son daughter's rural North Dakota school. The ability to make something out of nothing has served her well when working in rural communities. Duct tape, staple guns flashlights can go along way. She considers her students part of her family and some of them actually are.

Writing plays is a way to showcase the unique talents and abilities of her very diverse and numerous students. Angela prides herself in making sure all students that audition are involved in the production and are able to use their talents (whatever they may be) to help make the production successful. She plans to continue directing (and writing) in her small North Dakota town at least until her childern graduate.

Angela has also been a motivational speaker for Make a Sound Choice abstinence education program and traveled throughout North Dakota, South Dakota Minnesota speaking at schools, churches community organizations. She was the recipient of the YWCA Woman of the Year Youth Advocate Award, the Champion of Youth Award and was the 2008 North Dakota High School Play Director of the Year. She was 2004 Mrs. North Dakota International and still insists on watching all televised pageants with popcorn a score sheet.

Kindred, North Dakota (pop.550) is where Angela lives with her husband Tim, son Spencer, daughter Ava and their numerous cats dogs.
