Bob May has an MFA in playwriting from UNLV and currently teaches playwriting and screenwriting at the University of Central Arkansas.

His plays Broadway Memories and 9th Inning Wedding are published in the textbook The Golden Stage by Ann McDonough. And his absurdist play Go To... is published in the 2009 literary journal The Exquisite Corpse.

He wrote The Gulf Coastal Plains Region episode for the Arkansas Educational Television Network (PBS) program The Great Experience of Arkansas: An Amazing Journey Through Six Regions.

His book on acting Postcard Pointers to the Performer is published by Heuer Publishing. Skye Bridge Publishing publishes his directing book The Process of Play Directing: From Concept to Curtain and his book on scriptwriting Scriptwriting Structure: To the Point Pointers.

He and his wife, Cathy, have five children and four grandchildren. Mr. May is a member of The Dramatists Guild of America.
