Christine Jones

Christine Jones is an award-winning poet and lyricist in addition to being the lyricist for the musical, Burgertown. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting Performance from Florida State University and then continued her education at the University of Virginia, where she received her Masters of Fine Arts. Christine wrote the lyrics for Lifelines, an original musical, which was awarded Most Potential for a New Play by the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts/ACTF. She was also commissioned by the Thomas Jefferson Center for the Freedom of Expression to write the lyrics for The Land Without Liberty, a children’s musical. A Frontier Tale, an original historical outdoor musical commissioned by the Cincinnati Bicentennial Organization for which Christine also wrote the lyrics, toured throughout Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky, performing over 40 times during the summer of 1988.
