Dean Dyer

Dean Dyer is a lifelong resident of Michigan, and he and his wife, Jeanette, live on the farm in Springport where he was raised. The couple have three grown children and two grandchildren. Dean is a teacher and play director at Western High School in Parma, Michigan. Previously, he worked for several years with the Michigan Dept. of Corrections as a parole agent, corrections officer, and master weapons trainer.

Dean directed his first play, A Christmas Carol, at age 19 and his first musical, Finian's Rainbow, at 20 at Springport High. Becoming Juliet has several characters and situations based on his years of experience with teaching and directing high school students.
