| | Donaco wrote his first play in the fourth grade. He was very impressed with himself because he worked the word "inebriated" in to the script. Since this auspicious debut in Mrs. Aiken's class, he's finished two full length plays, eight or nine one-acts and two screenplays. His plays have been produced in New York City, Los Angeles, Tallahassee and Melbourne, Florida. And, in Donaco's imagination, London and Edinburgh.
His play, Having No Right To Say So, was a finalist in Manhattan's Love Creek Short Play Festival and a few years later, that script turned into the beginnings of the full length play, Annoyed By Life.
Donaco earned his BA in Theatre Arts from Florida State University where he took writing and acting classes.
Over the years, he has earned paychecks as a writer, an actor, a songwriter, an office clerk, a web designer, a teacher, a British dialect coach, Santa Claus, and a Vampire Master of Ceremonies at a Hallowe'en ball. Currently Donaco is a freelance writer doing such work as copywriting for ads and brochures, business letters, press releases, radio spots and also some travel writing. He is also a member of the Screen Actors Guild and Actors Equity Association. His dream is to build a casino/resort in Las Vegas. If you have access to 950 million dollars that you'd like to invest, be sure to say hello; Donaco wants to take you to lunch tomorrow. | |
