The play is designed to be easy to direct. We did some fun things: Esme appeared early and spied on the "goings-on" before she had her scene. Periodically, she would hide in different places on the set. You could do it very simply with a desk and a chair - or you can do it on an empty stage, a stage that is "set" for another show (which is how we did it) or in the cafeteria!
