For fans of classic fairy tales with a twist, Fort Calhoun High School's annual one-act play is a must see. English/drama teacher Kim Pace said the play was an easy pick... several of the senior students involved have said it's their favorite play in all four years.

"I think the kids are having a lot of fun with it," Pace said. "It's a unique show and they like playing such unique characters."

A new take on the "The Three Little Pigs" ... That’s right – forget the wolf, the turkey buzzard is the real evil behind the plot to consume three mischievous truffle-hunters in Edith Weiss’ colorful and energetic adaptation. Moral messages aside, Biggity Bad and the Three Little Pigs is a fast-paced and humorous romp around the stage from start to finish! Certain to delight the entire family!
Higgelty and Piggelty are two devil may care pigs who spend their days avoiding work. When they are joined in the pen by a third pig, Hamlet, who is a truffle pig and talks funny (many of his lines are from Shakespeare, the rest are in Shakespearean style), life changes drastically on the farm. Things change even more when Buzz the Turkey Buzzard convinces Rolf, a tender-hearted and lonely wolf, to become "Biggity Bad" and capture the pigs. Run for your life chases plus a surprise ending make this a wonderful show for kids.
