We had a great time working on this difficult and challenging piece. There is however, a real danger of overacting the tragedy of this story, especially since my group (high school students) have not had the life experience to relate to the situation, but the challenge is well worth it. We loved discovering those moments that had to be filled in with subtext and, well, acting!

Synopsis

Grace has Locked-In Syndrome, in which a person is completely unable to move but can still hear and understand everything around her. Her life is revealed in flashbacks as her husband and her father debate whether or not to end life-support.
