Customer Comments:
By Karl Haataja - Director - Fairmount Public School
Great play to stage, cast a large number of students, and give developing actors a part. It is well written and worked perfectly for my actors. It's a crowd pleaser.

By Morgan Menefee - Director - Crest USD 479
Although a little difficult to stage, depending on your setup, this play is funny, relevant, and students love it! It's short, which is perfect for a young cast, and only requires 10 actors, though it can accommodate as many as your stage can hold. Just perfect!

By Bryce Pigeon - Director (actor w last-second illness) - Berkeley High School
I was actually shocked at how clever the writing was, and I had a perfect cast to pull off the various characters (and caricatures). It was racy enough to be funny but tame enough to be school-appropriate. It has firmly convinced me that doing one huge production (Romeo and Juliet, Little Shop of Horrors) and one smaller production (a la Teachers) is perfect for my school.

Synopsis
Five high school teachers find themselves at the end of their rope... and it’s only the first day of school! From an English teacher with mood swings and a math teacher in the middle of a divorce, to an elderly chemistry teacher with back pain and a geography teacher with a whip, the semester gets off to a rocky start. Add to the mix a drama teacher who sleeps on his desk, and it only becomes a matter of time before one of them snaps. As the students navigate this bumpy road, they begin to realize it may have been their behavior that pushed these teachers perilously close to the edge. Will they be able to make things right before it’s too late, or has this faculty completely lost its faculties?
