Synopsis
When nine American high school students enroll themselves in art school in Florence, Italy, little do they realize how their perspectives on life, love and art will be changed forever. Battling culture shock, bidets, and homesickness is difficult enough, but add in summer romances, striking train workers, and a chaperone that disappeared five minutes into the trip and you have all the ingredients for a summer to remember.

With a cast of fifteen and using minimal sets and props, but relying on sound, lights and projections, Florence, David and Art is a dramedy that touches the heart of the aspiring artist in all of us.

As part of our Multicultural section, Florence, David and Art provides a fabulous look into the humanities and the Italian culture. Your actors and the audience will walk away with an extraordinary appreciation for some of the world’s greatest works of art.
