Vanity can have some serious consequences. And some hilarious ones, too. In this fun and warm play, two junior high girls in 1949 (the golden age of tonics and quick cures) experiment with a radicalized beauty treatment in an attempt to become popular in their school. The results, of course, are not what they expected and not what was advertised. The girls try to hide the tragic condition of their hair from family while at the same time trying to find a cure for the Glover's Mange Cure.
