Synopsis
Cinderella, called "cindergirl" by her stepsisters, is on the adventure of her life with Penny, her fairy godmother, whose feisty temper wreaks havoc on her spells. (She just turned one of the stepsisters into a heap of vegetables, don't say we didn't warn you!) It's up to the audience to comfort and soothe Penny's bruised ego all the while trying to get Cinderella to the Ball to meet Prince Edward who desperately needs the help of the audience to overcome his shyness so that he can ask Cinderella to dance. The rest is fairy tale legend and history, well, almost. The stepmother, a masterful nightmare of a person, and her daughters pursue Cinderella as Penny asks the audience to make the sound of the horse's hooves so that Cinderella can make it home before midnight. Yes, Prince Edward and the King make it through a sub-arctic storm and the play ends with an optional kiss between Prince Edward and Cinderella, no longer a cindergirl but a Queen.

This play is a wild ride through comic fantasy and fairy tale lore. With the help of a participatory audience (audience members play the mice, the attendants, and the trumpet and violin players), Penny makes it through each and every entangled spell.
