Rosie has worked hard to become a respected lawyer in town and now she has to live down her mother’s latest reports of flying saucers. Then there’s her father and the eccentric Mr. Pupinski who are organizing a circus. Harpo The Clown is already in residence. To complicate matters even more, her mother just had another car accident, this time with Vita Rottenswapper, an important client of Rosie’s visiting from out of town. Stranded without a car, Rottenswapper reluctantly agrees to stay at Lucy Boa’s Bed ‘n’ Breakfast with “a full house of crazies” including Lawrence, a boarder who thinks he’s Hamlet, “I am Hamlet, Prince of Denmark,” or as their maid, Godiva, refers to him, “Omelet, Prince of Wackos.” When Rottenswapper mysteriously disappears, her assistant, Edna Rice, arrives to investigate and immediately suspects foul play. Insanity takes an even more outlandish turn as new guests arrive including one who smells evil in the house and is certain Rottenswapper is buried under the floor. When things look like they couldn’t get any worse, Dr. Boris Frankenmirth, a psychiatrist and Rottenswapper’s fiancé, arrives. He’s seen lunatics before, but he’s never seen anything like the cast of characters staying at Lucy’s. Treat your audience to a rollicking good time with Lucy and the whole gang! |
