Synopsis
While there is comedy aplenty, this full-length play is long on drama, humanity, and individuality. Sandy takes a job at the So-Long Travel Agency, owned by Lucy and Carlson, who are planning a museum heist with the threatening and terrifying Grimsley. When the mysterious Samuel Hahmberger enters and asks Sandy to help him smuggle a few friends to the island of Sorbay, she senses something is different about him, but agrees to make their travel arrangements. Inadvertently, she schedules their departure for the same day as the heist, which is the same day the hospital aides and police show up searching for escapees from the local mental institution. Remarkably, Sandy, Samuel and his friends recover the stolen museum pieces as Sandy learns that Samuel and his friends are the same patients who escaped from the institution. This is a great-hearted story and a masterwork of thought-provoking fiction.
