Synopsis
With humor and plenty of drama, Untragically Ever After reimagines the ending of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, as a modern day teenage girl, Kylie, steps in to stop the classic young lovers from taking their lives. Romeo is unsure why this stranger has prevented his demise and becomes convinced that Kylie wants to steal him away. Despite Kylie’s protests, Romeo declares his love to her just in time for Juliet to awaken. Kylie helps them rediscover their relationship and reasons to live, explaining what they can do if they ever go through dark times again. She ultimately convinces them that suicide should never be an option, literally rewriting these classic characters’ fates.
